Origins in the Nordkette Foothills
The studio opened in 2019 after years of freelance planting work across Igls, Wilten, and the Inn valley. Founders Elena Bair and Tomas Rauninger saw a gap for design-led garden guidance that respected Tyrolean stone, timber, and native species.
We chose Maria-Theresien-Straße for its walkable access to clients in the historic centre and easy reach of hillside properties served by the Hungerburgbahn corridor.
What We Believe
Gardens should respond to geology and climate before fashion. A styled border near 600 metres elevation behaves differently from a Munich courtyard, and our drawings always note frost pockets, drainage fall, and prevailing wind.
We avoid instant-makeover aesthetics. Instead we build compositions that mature gracefully, accepting that some perennials need two seasons to settle into their intended rhythm.
The Team
Elena leads planting composition and colour grading across herbaceous layers. Tomas specialises in terrace layouts, stair transitions, and the integration of existing retaining walls into coherent outdoor rooms.
Associate stylist Mira Koller joins for larger commissions, bringing expertise in alpine rock garden species and container schemes for balcony properties without ground-level soil access.
Local Partnerships
We collaborate with nurseries in Volders and Hall in Tirol for specimen sourcing, and with stone masons in Ampass for dry-laid path edges that match regional building traditions.
Our role stops at styling documentation — installation remains with trusted local contractors whom we can recommend but do not employ directly.

Appointments are available Tuesday through Friday by prior booking. Walk-ins are welcome on the first Saturday morning of each month when we host open portfolio reviews.
Bring photographs, dimension sketches, or survey printouts if you have them — even rough notes accelerate the conversation considerably.
